Dear Friends,

paul pittman

I am hopeful and prayerful that life finds all of you well and healthy. It has been some time since my last message, so I thought I would share an update on my family and Team Pittman.

Our three sons have had a busy and fulfilling year so far. Nicholas and his girlfriend Abby have gotten engaged and are to be married in June 2023. He recently moved from Wisconsin back to Indianapolis to purse his doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. Marci and I are selfishly excited to have him back in Indianapolis.

Domonic graduated from Roncalli High School in May, enjoyed the summer playing a lot of basketball with his friends, and is now attending DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. Marci and I recently visited him for Parents Weekend and we were able to meet a lot of his friends, tour campus and enjoy a football win for the Tigers.

Paul, our youngest, had a busy summer as well. He and his buddy Jack won the summer beach volleyball league, in between spending time with his friends and girlfriend. Paul is a junior at Roncalli and off to a good start to the school year.

Marci and I are both healthy and working on our new rhythm with Dominic off to school and Paul often not a home. We thought we would have a couple years to figure out this empty nester thing, but it has come more quickly than expected. The house is quieter, but it allows Marci and I time to enjoy each other’s company. We are looking forward to cooking together more, taking our nightly walks or bicycle rides and then “rehydrating” with a nice glass of wine. Marci continues to be busy with her company House to Home Marketplace, doing a lot of design work with her partners and growing the on-line aspects of the company.

Personally, I have been working on a reset from COVID. I think most of us lost our rhythm during the past 24 months. I am getting back to writing consistently in my gratitude journal and refocusing on my health – spiritually, mentally and physically – to be a better version of me. I have had some dear friends with recent health issues, which always makes me focus on my health and to stop taking it for granted. Fortunately, those friends are all doing well now.

The Pittman Legal & Tax Advisors Team has been working on the business, being intentional with the services we provide for our clients. We have also been encouraging time off from work. Richard has been spending some Fridays this summer in his garden and making improvements around the house. Beth, Christie, and Susan have all taken recent vacations with friends and family – checking off a few bucket-list items on those trips. We will all be updating our lists soon – we hope you are doing the same.

Although tax season is a stressful time, we always look forward to seeing you – our clients – to catch up on your families and businesses. In the meantime, we hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving, filled with love and good food.

Stay healthy, choose happiness, and remain blessed!

Paul
